No album is complete without a jam session with your mates!
Our home is full of musicians everyday, jamming to keep our spirits high..
African music & dance used to be our livelihoods in Bali & Australia & still is but on a more toned down level these days..
I know the sounds of Caturs hands playing djembe, even in a circle of other drummers..
He is crisp & clear & resonates the drums spirit through those hands into his own unique sound..
It was those very hands slapping skin that caught my attention the night we were to find each other..
On this recording he plays Balafon, an African Xylophone along with Yani on Cajon & Gray on Harmonica..

One of our favourite African proverbs is:
If you want to go somewhere quickly, go alone..
If you want to somewhere far, go together!
